Entoto Park

The National Museum of Ethiopia
Home to many of the country’s most precious artistic treasures, it is popular for housing one of the world’s most famous archeological discoveries - ‘Lucy’, which challenged humanity’s long-standing convictions about the theory of evolution.
Red Terror Martyrs' Memorial Museum
Established as a memorial to the victims of Red Terror, this museum is a place for visitors to reflect on and learn about an important and terrifying piece of Ethiopia's history.
St. George's Cathedral
Known for its distinctive and gorgeously conceived octagonal form, this place of worship is a popular attraction for devouts and casual tourists alike. Guests can even take a guided tour and spend some time at the onsite museum.
Mount Entoto
The highest peak of the Entoto mountains, this majestic mountain overlooks the city of Addis Ababa and stands at a height of 3200 feet above sea level. Renowned for its history of being the place which was home to the founder of the city, it is the ideal choice for an excursion or outing.
Mercato
The Addis Mercato is the largest open-air marketplace in Africa, famously employing upwards of 13,000 people. Although popular for its agricultural produce, there is certainly no dearth of other things to look out for. This place is a must-visit for shopping enthusiasts.
Unity Park
The Grand Palace, where Unity Park is located, was established in 1887 and without counting Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (Dr.), the palace served as the living and working space of seven Ethiopian leaders. The palace covers an area of 40 hectares and contains a myriad of historical buildings and plants that date back to the time of Emperor Menelik II.
